Sports Promotion and Engagement

The inaugural edition of Basil Offor Table Tennis Tournament, hosted by Finex Healthcare in partnership with Elmarino Sport Club, was a tremendous success and a delight to sports lovers. Held on Monday, September 16th 2024, the event attracted a large and enthusiastic crowd of participants and spectators, celebrating both the spirit of competition and community.

Sponsored by Chris Anazia, the tournament was a heartfelt tribute to the late Basil Offor, a cherished member of the community. The tournament showcased high levels of skill, as participants’ demonstrated sportsmanship and determination on the tables. The top three finishers of the tournament were Anthony Akamagwuna, Uche Ekwueme, and Irikhefe Ekaekete. Each winner received a cash prize, along with the admiration and respect of their peers. In addition to the thrilling competition, the event was a celebration of camaraderie, featuring a lively atmosphere filled with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and vibrant entertainment.

The collaboration between Finex Healthcare and Elmarino Sport Club brought the community together, reflecting their shared commitment to health and wellness. This tournament marks Finex Healthcare's ongoing dedication to promoting health through sports and community engagement. For participants, the tournament was not only a celebration of the game but also a way to honour the legacy of a loved one.

El-Marino is a Lagos-based sports and social club that promotes physical development of members and healthy living through participation in sporting activities. It is a non-religious, multicultural and non-governmental club that also develops and contributes to charitable causes in various parts of the country. The economic empowerment of members is also key to the club. Finex healthcare sponsored the 2022 edition of Alukimba Tournament and was co- sponsor in 2023 and 2024 edition respectively.
